The Copake Pool Pavilion is a minimalist outdoor pavilion located in Copake, New York, designed by Frisenda Architects and completed in 2025. Situated adjacent to a private pool, the pavilion celebrates clean lines, natural materials, and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape. Crafted primarily from thermally modified wood, the structure’s refined material palette and restrained detailing create a serene outdoor environment that enhances the poolside experience. 

Designed to serve as both a shaded gathering space and a tranquil retreat, the pavilion incorporates open sightlines and generous overhangs that frame views of the site’s natural terrain. The rhythmic wood cladding and simple geometric form reflect a contemporary architectural language rooted in simplicity and material honesty. Collaboration with Framework Custom Builders ensured precise execution of the design, while photography by Phillip Reed captures the project’s refined interplay of light, shadow, and texture.
